Mitsubishi Unveiled Outlander PHEV Prices for Canada

Mitsubishi has been the first manufacturer to present a plug-in hybrid 4×4 SUV with the Outlander PHEV in 2015 in Europe. As you may know, the Japanese manufacturer recently unveiled a whole new Outlander for the model/year 2022. Yet, the PHEV version wasn’t available with the new generation.

Now that the 2023 model is out, Mitsubishi finally unveiled the whole new Outlander PHEV which should be available in November 2022.

Performances

The 2023 Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV is new on the outside. The Japanese SUV also brings a whole new powertrain starting with a 20 kWh lithium-ion battery pack which is almost 40% more than the previous generation (13.8 kWh). This helped for the autonomy to go from 39 to 61 kilometres on a single charge. This put the 2023 Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV in the frontrunners of its category.

The front electric motor is now producing 114 hp, 34 more than the previous generation. For the rear motor, the power went from 90 to 134 hp. If you combine those two electric motors with the traditional combustion engine, which is a 2.4-liter 4-cylinder, you get a total combined power of 248 hp and 332 lb-ft of torque. This means the 2023 Mitsubishi outlander PHEV will offer the legendary S-AWC as standard, which is great news.

Prices for Canada

Let’s talk about prices because it is one of the first things any buyers will look at. Luckily, Mitsubishi managed to stay competitive with a starting price of $46,538 for the 2023 Outlander PHEV. This is only $2,000 more than the previous model. On the other hand, the Outlander PHEv is now eligible for the $5,000 discount from the government of Quebec thanks to the fact its battery offers a capacity over 15 kWh now. The base model (ES S-AWC) is equipped with an all-digital display for its dashboard, the adaptative cruise control, and many other technologies as standard.

After the base version comes the 2023 Outlander PHEV LE-S-AWC with a starting price of $51,238. This version brings more characteristics to the table such as a 9-inch display screen for the infotainment system, a 360-degree camera, and more. Next in the line is the SEL S-AWC version at $54,048. The 2023 outlander PHEV GT S-AWC sits at the top of the model lineup with a starting price of 56,348. As you may expect, this version comes with lots of goodies such as a 10.8-inch display screen for the infotainment system, massage front seats, high-end material, and more.

The 2023 Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV have everything on his side and that is why I truly believe it will be as popular as the previous model if not more.
